Contact Countdown offers a practical tool for maritime professionals to track their contractual progress and onboard time. Users can input the start and end dates of their Sea Contracts to receive various calculations that provide insight into their career timeline. Additionally, it allows the inclusion of all previous contracts to determine overall progress, including the total number of contracts completed and the cumulative days spent onboard.

By entering the Ship Name, Contract Start Date, and Contract End Date, the application calculates and displays key metrics such as:

• Total days of the current contract
• Total days across all contracts
• Days completed
• Days remaining
• Percentage of contract completed
• Percentage remaining
• Total number of completed contracts

The app also facilitates tracking onboard days within a specific tax year. Users need only to input the tax year's start and end dates, then click ‘Calculate’ to view total onboard days during that period.

This utility serves as a useful visual aid for crew members to monitor their contractual milestones and onboard time. It encourages engagement through sharing statistics on social media via screenshots and personalized messages.

An added feature is the implementation of a 'red zone' indicator at 80% completion, signaling the approaching final phase before returning home.
